over a longer cord. AN EXTENSION CORD MAY BE USED WITH CARE;
HOWEVER, THE MARKED ELECTRICAL RATING SHOULD BE AT LEAST
AS GREAT AS THE ELECTRICAL RATING OF THE RICE COOKER. The
extension cord should not be allowed to drape over the counter or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
NOTE: During initial use of this appliance, some slight smoke and/or odor may
be detected. This is normal with many heating appliances and will not recur
after a few uses.
RICE COOKER OPERATION
1.Measure and wash the rice. Transfer it to the cooking vessel. Do not use the
cooking vessel to wash the rice.
2.After transferring the rice to the cooking vessel add the water. For each
measure of rice use 1.5 measure of water.
3.Turn the cooking vessel back and forth to make certain it has good contact
with the heating element.
4.Place the lid on the rice cooker.
5.Insert the plug into the rice cooker and then plug it into the wall socket.
6.Press the electronic switch to “COOK”. The indicator lamp for the function
chosen will then illuminate.
7.Once the cooking is completed for either function the “WARM’ feature will
engage.
HOW TO CLEAN
Unplug unit. CAUTION: Never submerge heating unit in water or other liquid.
• GLASS: the lids may be washed in the dishwasher.

• The removable liner goes safely into the dishwasher, or may be washed in
hot soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaning compounds , a cloth, a sponge
or rubber spatula will usually remove the residue.
To remove water spots and other stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner
or vinegar.
• The outside case may be cleaned with a soft cloth and warm soapy
water. Wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance should be cleaned after use each time.
1.Unplug the Automatic Rice Cooker from the outlet when not in use or before
cleaning. NEVER IMMERSE HEATING BODY IN WATER OR ANY OTHER
LIQUID!
2.Allow the Automatic Rice Cooker to cool completely before cleaning.
3.Do not wash by scouring material or steel wool to clean the Automatic Rice
Cooker.
4.Heating Body: Lightly wipe the exterior with al damp cloth or sponge. DO
NOT IMMERSE HEATING BODY INTO SOFT CLOTH.
5.Inner pot: Fill with hot water and let it sit for a moment and then wash in hot
soapy water a soft cloth.
6.Keep the outer lid detachable inner lid dry and clean when not used.
7.Heating Plate, Thermostat: Grains of rice or other foreign matters may stick
to the heating plate. These must be removed to prevent inadequate cooking. To

paper can be used .Smooth out and polish the spot for good contact between
the heating plate and the bottom of the Inner Pot.

Cuando se usa un aparato eléctrico se deben seguir las siguientes

de que funcione incorrectamente o haya sido dañado de alguna manera.
Regrese el aparato al Centro de Servicio para reparaciones, ajustes o revisión.
5.Accesorios no recomendados pueden causar peligros.
6.No se use al aire libre.
7.No deje que el cable cuelgue de una superficie o toque una superficie
caliente.
8.No se coloque sobre o cerca de una estufa, un calentador eléctrico o en un
horno caliente.
9.Extremo cuidado al mover cualquier aparato que contenga comida caliente,
agua caliente u otros líquidos calientes.
10.No use el aparato para otros usos.
11.Levante y abra la cubierta con cuidado para evitar quemaduras y deje que el

14.El cable de este aparato solo se debe conectar a un tomacorriente.
15.Cuando se use este aparato se debe dar espacio adecuado para que el aire
circule alrededor. El aparato no debe tocar cortinas, papel tapiz, ropa, toallas u
otros materiales inflamables durante su uso.
16.Nunca utilice la vasija de cocimiento para almacenar el arroz sobrante.
Siempre debe transferir el arroz sobrante al contenedor apropiado y
almacenarlo en el refrigerador para uso futuro.

OPERACIÓN DE LA OLLA PARA COCER
ARROZ
1.Pese el arroz. Transfiéralo a la vasija de cocimiento. No use la vasija de cocimiento
para lavar el arroz pues podría dañar la superficie antiadherente.
2.Después de transferir el arroz a la vasija de cocimiento añada agua. Por cada
medida de arroz use 1.5 medidas de agua.
3.Mueva la vasija hacia adelante y hacia atrás para asegurarse de que tiene contacto
con el elemento de calor.
4.Ponga la tapa de la olla.

INSTRUCCIONES DE MANTENIMIENTO
DEL USUARIO
Este aparato debe limpiarse después de cada uso.
1.Desconecte la olla para arroz del enchufe cuando no se use y antes de lim-
piar. ¡NUNCA SUMERJA EL CALENTADOR EN AGUA U OTRO LIQUIDO!
2.Permita que la Olla Automática para Arroz se enfríe completamente antes de
limpiarla.
3.No use fibras metálicas para limpiar la Olla Automática para Arroz.
4.Calentador: Limpie ligeramente al exterior con esponja o un trapo húmedo.
NO USE PAÑOS SUAVES PARA LIMPIARLO.
5.Interior de la olla: llene de agua caliente, déjela reposar durante un momento
y luego lávela en agua caliente y jabonosa con un paño suave.
6.Mantenga las tapas limpias y secas cuando no se usen.
7.Placa Calentadora, Termostato: Algunos granos de arroz u otros agentes
pueden pegarse a la placa calentadora. Deben ser removidos para prevenir
cocimiento inadecuado. Para remover arroz ya cocinado, papel de lija suave
puede ser usado. Remueva y limpie el fondo para tener buen contacto entre la
placa calentadora y la olla interior.
